Brunch Buffet at Dusit Thani
May 23, 2010
Last Sunday, my sister and soon to be brother-in-law treated us to Dusit Thani in celebration for their new jobs and much higher salary (lucky them) :) . We ate a lunch buffet at Dusit Thani and it was a great feast!
On Sundays, the buffet in Dusit Thani is cross-over which means you can eat anywhere as long as you have the blue band around your wrist. They have several restaurants that you go to (UMU, Tosca, Basix, Benjarong). This means that you can enjoy eating food from different cultures / cuisines which includes Chinese, Japanese, European, Thai, Indian and Filipino in just one sitting. You may have to walk around the hotel to reach the other cuisines but think of it as burning off what you ate so you can eat more.
- UMU serves Japanese food (eg. Sushi, sashimi)
- Tosca serves Italian food (eg. Pasta, gellato)
- Benjarong serves Thai food (eg. )
- Basix serves.. different cuisines (fresh seafood, Indian Cuisine, Noodles, grilling station, and Filipino cuisine)
I had my fill of roast beef (really large slice!) , peking duck, dimsum, prawns, oysters, and gellato ice cream.
See the pictures below which are mostly from the Basix’ restaurant. I wasn’t able to get pictures of the Uma (Japanese), Benjarong (Thai), Tosca =(
Btw, for those who are interested on the Dusit Thani Buffet Price, it was around PHP1500 per person.
My only regret here was that I did not explore the other restaurants because I stayed mainly at Basix. I could have at least taken some pictures even if I won’t be able to eat there but I was too pre occupied with eating my fill that I forgot about it. This was a rare opportunity that I wasted but I’ll try to be back soon as long as there are group buying deals for me to get. :)
Till next time,
