Chakra Cafe from Third Eye Wellness
“You are what you eat”. This is the mantra of Third Eye Wellness through their Chakra Cafe; a place for nutrition and health.
We have recently attended an event to learn more about Third Eye Wellness. Initially I thought it was just a massage place but then we saw a cafe; I then thought that it was a massage shop and a cafe. However, as the event progressed, I learned that there’s more to it than that…
Third Eye Wellness is an all around place for your mind-body-energy well-being. They have spas and massages for your body; alternative healing for your mind and a cafe for your nutrition. For this post, I’d like to focus on Chakra Cafe for your nutrition (but to read more about Third Eye Wellness, please visit this separate post – under construction).
Chakra Cafe focuses on food that are nutritious, organic and importantly, still delicious. Available on the menu would be soup, pasta, salads and sandwiches. For drinks, they have different kinds of coffee and teas. Each dish has one to many chakra icons next to it to specify which chakra point does the food nourish. For example, the herb tomato soup will nourish your Root Chakra that’s responsible for Grounding, Security, Safety and Survival. All in all, there are seven chakra points targeted by the menu.
For our visit; we got to try the following dishes…
A must try! It was different from your usual nacho toppings thanks to the beans and their thick and creamy sauces.
The soup had a nice aroma to it but it was overwhelming because it was served in a shot glass. I believe it was meant to be taken in spoonfuls rather than in one shot.
To be honest, I can’t really describe what I was eating but I enjoyed it. Their bread was soft but had a nice crunch on other sides. All I know that I kept eating slice per slice.
The sandwich was made up with the nacho toppings, a lot more cheese and a hint of japapeno. The result was another addicting to eat sandwich.
This was a simple dish unlike their other dishes.
Break away from the common salad dressings and have curry instead in your salad. It started as a surprise but as I went on I enjoyed the apple crunch, sweetness of the raisins, fresh chicken and the curry sauce.
If you don’t want tea or coffee then you can try out their Elixir Juice Alchemy. These numbered bottles (14 in total) contain different ingredients that depends on your need such as Zen, Clarity, Vitamin C Immunity Booster and many more. It was very refreshing and you can really taste the ingredients.
Chakra Cafe is a good example that good and healthy food doesn’t have to be boring and bland. Their dishes were delicious and would be a perfect match after availing of their services such as a massage (I’d love to eat and drink something hot after one) or a healing session.
