Chef Tatung’s Cusina ni Lola at Pan Pacific Manila
For a limited time only, check out Cusina ni Lola featuring Chef Tatung at the Pacific Lounge at Pan Pacific Manila. Savor classic Filipino dishes just like how your “lola” made it.
While we enjoy the new combinations/styles brought by Modern Filipino Cuisine; it’s also nice to take a step (or a lot of steps) back to savor dishes like how it was in the old days. These are more than your lutong bahay; but a tradition of recipes passed down from generation to generation. The ingredients were much simpler and closer to nature; cooking was done over fire and with less electronics and most importantly, filled with a mother or a grandmother’s love!
So where am I getting at? Well, I’d like to invite you to take part of a special buffet called “Cusina ni Lola (Grandmother’s Kitchen)” that will bring you back to the past.
What: Cusina ni Lola Special Buffet
When: Lunch buffet from April 17 to 21, 2017
Where: Pacific Lounge at the Pan Pacific Hotel
How Much: PHP 1000 per head
We had a sneak preview on what the buffet will offer. It ranges from appetizers, salads, soup station, sawsawan, main courses, carving station, grilled/seared station and desserts.
Best eaten while hot and fresh; else crispiness suffers. Even the GM of Pan Pacific approves of this dish.
Sourness brought to you by Tamarind and not instant mixes. It tasted very natural and was very appealing to rice.
Amazing that their bulalo didn’t turn into lip gloss even after getting cold! It had generous servings of beef shank and OMG, the bone marrow!
This is a must try if you love coconut milk; laing with ground pork.
This was good! Glutinous rice with oozing turmeric flavor!
You can’t have a Filipino Cuisine Buffet without this.
This was addicting because of the juiciness and aroma! This, a good dip, and lots of rice would make me forget that I’m in a buffet.
Not yet convinced? Then let Chef Tatung himself call you to the limited edition Cusina ni Lola :)
Disclosure: Pan Pacific Hotel paid for our meal.
