Double Bart Burger from Burger Machine and Pares from Pares Point
I was walking around Pasong Tamo looking for a place to eat dinner. I landed in two places.
I bought a PHP35 meal that includes a dish (Pares) and rice. I did not have my camera with me so I wasn’t able to take a picture. It was simply beef stew with rice. The soup was hot and it also tasted good. There were a lot of beef chunks in the soup, you just need to fish them out.
Pares, according to Wikipedia,
This dish is a combination of a beef stew viand and a bowl of soup, both served with rice. The stew is made with beef cutlets cooked in sweet soy sauce and anise, topped with spring onions. The soup is made by combining a portion of the stew sauce with some pre-cooked soup stock.
The second one was from Burger Machine where I bought a Double Bart Burger (PHP38.00) . I’m disappointed that after seeing “Buy 1 Take 1” all over their place, it was only applicable to selected burgers.
So anyway, I made a take out order and I’m happily eating it here in my room. I remember patronizing Burger Machine before and my favorite was of course, the Double Bart Burger. However, I stopped patronizing it when their prices increased. A Bart Burger is made up of your regular patty with ketchup and mayo on the bottom, and “coleslaw” on top. Sometimes it is colored white, sometimes it is not. For example, today, they placed this pink coleslaw (ketchup + mayo combined I guess) on top.
The Double Bart Burger was delicious! Their patties were thin but since there were two of them, it made a difference. Also, the coleslaw on top helps in adding flavor to the burger (without it, I don’t think I’ll like eating this burger). My only complain (if valid) was that it was very oily and the bread would move around a lot due to that. But still I enjoyed eating the Double Bart Burger that I finished it in less than three minutes. :)
Btw, for those interested in Burger Machine, here’s their company address.

Both of these were found in Pasong Tamo.
Pares Point – Pasong Tamo corner Hererra Street (you just need to walk a few more steps).

That’s it for my quick dinner and my quick post! :)
