On my last day in Iloilo, I started buying “pasalubongs” and had a late lunch with my parents at Mang Inasal.
April 3, 2010
After shopping at SM Delgado, our initial plan was to eat at Joey Pepperoni but it was closed so we went around Iloilo looking for food and landed at Mang Inasal right in front of SM Delgado. It was already 5pm btw so it is really a super late lunch.
Our meal was really simple. We ordered chicken for each of us and one extra dish. Let the feast begin.
Papa and I had chicken leg. Well, my father likes chicken drumstick but I like chicken thigh. As long as I can eat chicken thigh, I’m already happy so I was happy with my meal. My only concern was that the chicken was thin (small serving) that I had to ration my chicken/rice ratio.
Mama had the chicken breast part. I was at the impression that if you grilled chicken breast, it will become hard and lose its tenderness however, when I tasted it, it wasn’t that hard. But since I’m not really fond of the breast part of the chicken (for me only gravy or sauce will save it), I would say that I like the leg part more.
As a extra order, we ordered boneless bangus. Nothing special on this one. Although it still tasty but not something that would stand out.
Just a few notes regarding Mang Inasal
They have unlimited rice for those who order their rice meal.
They are owned by the same person who owns Deco’s Lapaz Batchoy (our second choice before we decided to eat in Mang Inasal instead)
Till next time,
