Little Asia Dinner
For our March month-sary celebration, Jessa and I spent it on Little Asia. Little Asia’s menu perked our curiosity because they seem to have a dish for every nationality in Asia (well I might be exaggerating but it really felt like it). Due to the variety of dishes, it was challenging to pick out which to order so we settled on those dishes that had a “best-seller” marking and to the recommendations of the waiter.
Speaking of waiter’s recommendation, I have to say that I was impressed by Little Asia’s waiter who served us. Usually when you ask for a restaurant’s best-seller, they would recommended to you the most expensive one in the menu. However, in our case, not only did he gave us several choices after we asked, he also informed us that two of our first choices had the same sauce which would make it redundant to try. Thus, we changed one of those orders and we were grateful for that advice.
Our very flavorful appetizer. Cheese wrapped in beef tenderloin with a strong and sweet teriyaki sauce. This was really good! The cheese would melt your mouth while the beef provided a meaty taste, and as for the sauce; well, we had to scrape the plate for more.
A meal on its own; the chow mien was also really good. It speaks of Chinese origins at every bite and they were very generous on the other ingredients. It would become greasy in the long run so you might notice a newly applied lip gloss upon your lips.
I personally like dishes with coconut milk and this one was no exception. It has a spicy kick to it but not enough to stop me from enjoying it.
As for dessert, we had the caramel mango tower. Honestly, they had me at caramel so the others were simply a bonus. Baked wontons (that paper like thingy) and sweet mangoes stacked on top of each other like Jenga with vanilla ice cream at the side. What’s there to not like about it?
To go with our meal, we had these banana-themed drinks.
Another successful monthly celebration and big thanks to that was to our great dinner at Little Asia. Everything was just delicious and service was really good. It was like having a food trip around Asia all in one place.
