Primero Casa Filipino Actual Lunch
My previous post on Primero Casa Filipino was more on what can you see on their buffet table spreads and now, this will be what you can see on our plates.
We started first with appetizers. We simply grabbed every piece that was available (Baguette Canape, Baked Oyster in Bachamel Sauce, Karnevorous Pizza, Mustasa Wrap, Steamed Tofu Cake, Fried Dumpling and Thai Fruit Skewer). What caught my attention was the Karenevorous Pizza ( you can never go wrong with meat and melted cheese), Baked Oysters in Bachamel Sauce (creamy! something new if you are used to the version with melted cheese) and the Mustasa Wrap (leafy but has pork inside).
We also tried other dishes available (Chili Garlic Crabs, Seafood Kare Kare, Steamed Shrimps, Steamed Maya Maya, and Seafood Pasta). It just so happens that we visited on the Holy Week so most of the dishes were seafood. Loved getting my hands dirty on the Chili Garlic Crabs!
How about a few slices of the Crispy Lechon Pork Belly? It was very tempting to eat everything even the fatty layer but after a few slices of doing so, I felt a bit dizzy so I just continued by removing the fatty layer. Such as waste if you ask me as it really tasted good but health comes first.
Next would be the Roasted Angus Beef. I have to say that even without the gravy, it was already delicious! It was so soft and tender that it got shredded while slicing (looks like corn beef already lol). This alone made the buffet price a steal for me!
and leaving room for desserts, we grabbed everything on their dessert table (Banana Pudding, Carrot Cake, Butchi, Brownies, Special Butchi, Rhum Balls, and Latik).
But wait! Last was the Halo Halo Shooters. Halo-halo in a shot glass. Small enough to make it easier to mix but it still had that halo halo taste and feeling. How many shots can you take?
I must say that this lunch was a great experience. I didn’t know about Casa Filipino prior to the change in management but whatever their performance / level of service before, you won’t go wrong with what they currently offer right now. Very affordable prizes and interesting food that won’t make you say, “lutong bahay lang”, for a Filipino Cuisine Buffet. Thanks again to Kim Marcelo and Primero Casa Filipino for having us.
