Soyami Soya Chips – Taste Test
In my younger years, I have been a fan of chips and I usually include them in my daily food intake. However, it changed when I grew up and learned that these chips were being called junk food and has no nutritional value. Due to that, I limited my intake to always zero and prevented myself from buying them.
Now, here comes the new Soya Chips from Soyami. Based from what I read, they are supposed to be the healthier chips as they use Soya (which is a good source of protein) instead of corn or potato. Another claim is that they are high in calcium due to the calcium lactate which is a calcium supplement. I’m also glad to know that they are low in sodium (something chips are notoriously high for). Please see the nutritional facts below for more information.
I opened it and pour it into my container. It is now time to dig in and get some much needed protein. On the first bite, I noticed that it is not as easy to chew as the other chips. It is more thicker and taste wise, it is less saltier. It has a mildly bland taste (less salt effect) that in a way it reminds me of the taste of tofu.
I won’t deny that I’m enjoying eating the soya chips now and I’m eating it right while writing this post. It may not have an addicting taste like the other chips but it tastes good enough for me to keep on putting piece by piece into my mouth. I’m glad these Soya Chips came into the market because we now have an alternative for a more healthier snack and not just something artificial to fill our tummies. Since I want to increase my protein intake yet reduce my sodium intake, the Soyami Soya Chips is a good fit for the diet that I want.
Till next time,
