Stella & Rocket Room Lunch (via Eat’s A Date)

Stella Rocket Room

I got invited to an Eat’s A Date Event by Open Rice to dine at Stella / Rocket Room at Bonifacio High Street and I’m really glad I did. It felt like an endless stream of food that came out dish by dish. After 3-4 dishes, I thought we were done but they suddenly said to prepare for the main course!

Stella / Rocket Room belongs to Rain Tree’s group of restaurants (e.g. Momo Cafe, Chelsea) and it’s actually two restaurants in one location. Stella, having a restaurant feel, would cater more for casual diners and families while Rocket Room, having a bar look, would cater to young professionals who would like to have some drinks with their meal. However, you can still order from both restaurants regardless on where you sit.

Now that we had that introduction, let the food trip begin!

Even if your heart tells you to avoid this, do give in to the temptation to try this even just once. Caution: Very hot so that the bone marrow won’t become lip gloss.

Stella Rocket Room Roasted Seafood “Firecracker” Fusilli

Roasted Seafood “Firecracker” Fusilli – PHP 395

The spiciness of this pasta gives me an itchy throat.

Stella Rocket Room Fire Roasted Truffled Mushroom Pizza

Braised “Sticky & Sweet” U.S.  Beef Short Ribs – PHP 495

My picture doesn’t do any justice to this huge piece of soft and delicious meat. Another favorite of mine as the ribs were really flavorful! Yum yum!

Stella Rocket Room Spanish Chorizo Stuffed Prawns

Spanish Chorizo Stuffed Prawns (6 pcs) – PHP 520

Garlic Slivers, Herb and Pernod Butter Breadcrumbs, Fresh Lemon

I loved this! For a dish that’s sure to make you ask for more, it does come with a hefty price.

Stella Rocket Room Salt Baked Gindara Fillet

Salt Baked Gindara Fillet (400g) – PHP 395

Light Dill-Citrus Cream, Citrus Bits

A good alternative to the usual fish and chips. It tasted really fresh and melts in your mouth. You can feel the ocean with every mouthful (why settle for bites?).

Warning: Do not scrape from the bottom as the base is salt unless you want a very salty fish.

and lastly, for dessert, we had…

Stella Rocket Room Stella’s Wood Fired Chocolate Almond Cookie Dough

Stella’s Wood Fired Chocolate Almond Cookie Dough – PHP 195

Salted caramel, rosemary pistachios, and topped with Mantecado ice cream

It’s warm, it melts in your mouth, it’s really good!

Whew! We had a belly busting meal. They really know how to make us beg for mercy as they brought out dish after dish of delicious food. I really enjoyed our meal (special mention to the ribs and gindara) and I’d like to take Stella/Rocket room and Openrice for this experience.

Disclosure: Openrice / Stella Rocket Room paid for our meal.

Till next time,
