Sample a curious treat for your taste buds with Lia’s Signature Avocado Cake (valued at P670)
When I first saw the avocado cake I was curious about it and since it is a fruit I don’t usually get to eat, I wanted to try this out. It was supposed to be last year but it was already out of season when at that time. Luckily I found a group buy voucher for it so I was able to try it out for half the price. To add, it also served as a pre-birthday cake for me to enjoy.
Here is the avocado cake (8 inches in diameter). You can really smell the avocado from it (I was told because I couldn’t ). The top layer had crushed pistachios then followed by the chiffon, then a layer of cake filling then lastly the chiffon again. The cake frosting and filling would be the game changer because without it then nothing would distinguish it from other chiffon cakes. In terms of taste, the cake was delicious (apologies for the generic description) and all the ingredients simply fall into pieces.
I’m looking forward to try out their other variant of the avocado cake which is the Chocolate Avocado Cake.
Till next time,
PS: I had to say that I’m not familiar with cake terminologies so I had to do research on what cake frosting, cake layers, chiffon, sponge cake meant. I also learned that frosting is different from icing. I’m glad that I’m learning something new while enjoying good food (e.g. avocado cake).
