Zark’s Jawbreaker Day 2012 Experience

Zark’s Jawbreaker Day 2012 Experience

My first Zark’s experience was when we had their Tombstone burger delivered to us in the office. That was the biggest burger I have seen and eaten in my life and it really took a big appetite, time and willpower to finish it. I wanted to try their other burgers as well but I wasn’t able to fulfill that idea. However, in just one twitter message, Richie from the fulfilled that idea to me by inviting me to the Zark’s Jawbreaker day.

The Zark’s Jawbreaker day is a day where the Jawbreaker Burger of Zark’s gets a price cut. From the original price of PHP 250, it goes down to PHP 150 and this is enough to make people line up in Taft Avenue to have a taste of this big fat burger! So what exactly is a jawbreaker?

Oh it just a simple burger that’s made up of…

  • Bun
  • Bacon
  • 3 Slices of Spam
  • Cheese
  • 1/2 Pound Patty
  • Cheese
  • 1/2 Pound Patty
  • Cheese
  • 1/2 Pound Patty
  • Lettuce/Tomatoes
  • Bun

Nothing special right? Even if I post the picture of it here.

Zark's Jawbreaker Burger

My jaw dropped after seeing this burger and even with that effect, I still couldn’t squeeze the burger enough in my mouth to take a full bite from bun to bun. I ended up dissecting the burger and eating it piece by piece starting with the heavenly bacon, how-i-missed-you spam and then I would start breaking apart the patty with my bare hands because on this Jawbreaker day, there’s no spoon or fork available. It’s the day where you can release your primal instincts and put down your prim and proper self.

The burger comes with fries and iced tea.

Zark’s burgers doesn’t care about your health. It is a place you have to go if you have a big appetite for burgers and you don’t have time to think or care about health, calories, weight gain, cholesterol. It’s simply guilty pleasure in a burger form. For example, part of the their description for the Tombstone Burger; Warning: This might kill you on the spot!

So are you up to the challenge?

Disclosure: Zarks paid for our meal

Till next time,

PS: It was nice meeting new and old friends. See you again soon everyone!
